
Time permitting over the next few weeks, write a short introduction to using Octave with Qucs, giving much more details than this basic example. Although the example is very simple it is easy to follow and is intended to help everyone get started with the new Qucs/Octave link. Qucs allows for nested simulations as an example we consider an AC analysis together with a parameter sweep.

The attached files present a very basic RC network simulation, plus details showing extraction of Octave data and the use of Octave for post simulation processing. After that simulation has finished you can view the simulation results on a presentation page or window.

A number of requests have been posted asking for a simpleĮxample showing how to use Octave with Qucs-0.0.16. Qucs is an integrated circuit simulator which means you are able to setup a circuit with a graphical user interface (GUI) and simulate the large-signal, small-signal and noise behaviour of the circuit.
